@foxwaves There’s quite a bit of good gear on those lists. I’m also going to presume that the gear had been taken care of if he was a former audio reviewer. Reading the “Audio Letter” it looks like you arrived at a little over $13,000 for everything while also being located in TN.

Curious if connecting with a trustworthy brick and mortar dealer in TN would make things easier. 

When searching previous “sold” prices, which website are you using? HiFi Shark is a good option for research under the “sold/expired” tab. An example can be found here for your Quick Silver Mid Monos - your friend had two because each amp only powers one speaker.

Thank you for your reply and kind, helpful words! I'm sure my friend took care of the equipment as long as he was able, but for the past 3+ years it has been sitting on shelves in his vacant house as he was in a nursing home until he died. 

Like you, I would have thought finding an outlet for the equipment here in Tennessee would have been relatively easy, but it hasn't been the case. Maybe I just haven't made the right connection. A place in Atlanta said they might take the equipment on consignment, but they get 50% of the proceeds plus several other requirements that didn't sound good at all. 

I searched a lot of different sites for the sold prices, and probably most I got from eBay. Even sold prices were all over the places since there are always variables. I am slightly familiar with HiFi Shark, but don't think I got any of my prices from there. I'll look at the amps via the link you kindly provided and see how it compares to the price I have. I may need to recalculate! I hope that cutting the price in half as I did would help with possible errors in pricing, and also equipment of unknown functionality.

I just looked at the amps at the link...and my prices are much too low for those! That's a nice resource, thanks for reminding me of the site. If the equipment doesn't sell as a lot by the 22nd, I plan to list the best pieces individually and will use HiFi Shark as a reference, and still price less. Thanks! 

I agree.   Your values are below what they should be.   Another alternative is to find a “trusted seller” at Audiogon, EBay and/or FaceTime Marketplace who will photograph, price, list, sell and ship on consignment.   I was able to do exactly that with equipment I wanted to sell and was able to get about $15k net of a 25% consignment fee.   It took about 9 months to sell 40 pieces of gear but if you can be patient, it’s a good way to go.
 

  I started by asking Chat GBT who was within 50 miles of me and had a good track record/reviews.   I the. Did my own research on the names that came up.   Hope this helps.
