Seeking Recommendations for a Streamer (No DAC)

Hi All,

Unfortunately I could not get an Aurender N100h to work with my BlackIce Glass FX Tube DAC so it's going back.

It's a known issue with Aurender, they even have a "bug fix" built into the app but in my case it didn't work.

I'm looking for a dedicated streamer, no DAC, optimized for USB to replace a NODE N130.

Budget is ~$1,000 used.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

check this out,  I built this without a dac and connect it to my Pontus 2 via I2S  then out XLR to  Freya S then XLR to Gallon Discovery Mono Blocks then out to my La Scala's   Wow

Clean, clear, a solid center stage, I can hear more out of my flac music files than before, Hey even MP3 files sound better.

Getting to I2S is the key

At your price point I have an Innuos Pulse mini with an aftermarket LPS. I upgraded from a Project Ultra Stream with worthwhile results. The Innuos software is decent too. Happy Hunting , Mike B.

Another vote here for the T8. Great detail and Soundstage,  plus support for most streaming services.  Another option would be to keep the N130, and mod it with a Teddy Pardo LPS.  Prior to the T8, I had a Node 2i.  I moded it with the TEDDY PARDO LPS,  and the improvement in every aspect was very significant!

Thanks all. I neglected to mention that I have an LHY LPS for the Node.

Lumin looks interesting.

Eversolo has had issues with USB compatibility also.   I would steer clear ....   my Dad has an A6 that had USB issues and dropouts.

After a year plus of going back and forth , they finally swapped it out but it still does not recognize his DAC.  Had to use Coax connection.

They do not handle firmware updates very well.  Do some research and you will find every firmware update screws something else up.
