To clarify, I didn't refer to a person obsessed with muscle cars a dumass....I referred to the very concept of a car as a boring dumass thing, in general..
I had a Gtr when i was a tad younger living in cali..before i moved myself to the midwest. That thing was so loud and obnoxious man, couldn't listen to any music in it...My current Tesla with its low noise floor fits my lifestyle better. I can actually enjoy music in my car, how novel!

First of all, when people like me drive a costly car (my Bentley is a little over 500k) we are NOT doing it to show off and make others feel helpless or make others drool over it. Now you might say - Well why did you mention the price? Because why not. You mentioned some dollar amounts, too.
There are many men all over the world (and even some women) who love a good muscle car, or a luxury car like me. That doesn’t make them a dumbass. You are entitled to believe that cars are boring; but that is your opinion. If you drove my car for example on a highway; or on the Autobahn in Germany, then you may have a different opinion of:
Jealousy? Me? Haha...
Dude, I can buy different things i see at the shows...but, i don't...because I can very quickly tally up what the bom was, compute the engineering hours and deem what the mark up is....Its a great insult, y'know? when you write a check and the guy who sold it to you has that lil snicker on his face, (deeming you an idiot, because ya overpaid, way over what the damn thing was every worth.) Every well off dude is not a dummy.. some are good at math and engineering n all...
All in all... get one thing straight...when this transient thing called the lifespan ends, you are not taking a single penny with you. Every atom has to be given back in its entirety (Mama nature is a terrible debter). You don't wanna be the guy who has to pop a few pills to feel an ounce of happiness at the end of the day in this transient thing called life.... irrespective of which Bentley or whatever sat in which garage..
Do a deeper Re-eval of things...
God bless
The best things in life are free - friends, family, loyalty, and devotion to ones craft. But everything takes effort, time, and dedication. I found this particular part of your post to be very heavily influenced by status resentment, class resentment, and overall just plain jealously.
