Best bang for the buck

What’s been the most cost effective item you purchased for your system?
I will go first- a Zerostat I bought 40 years ago. Next most cost effective purchase has to be a Denon DL103R cartridge which I bought new for $300.

Our retirement home.  We sold our small house in a prime location for so much dough that we were able to purchase double the space on 45 acres for half of the sale proceeds.  Now we have room for several systems featuring JBL Array 1400, Everest DD67000, Apogee Studio Grands, Tannoy Westminsters, Canterburys, Revel Salon 2, Hartsfields, 4350s, M2s, and lots more.  We didn’t have to spend one extra dollar since we were already needing to retire and get back out to the country.  Now I have to start unloading most of it before I drop dead and leave a big mess for my wife to clean up.

In terms of quality audio reproduction in general, a company named "SCHIIT" has entered the market a few years ago, with some incredible high quality, high performing audio components. I would easily recommend their products to any audiophile. And at their price point, you can't go wrong. They also have a trial and return policy.

This is a general recommendation. "SCHIIT AUDIO"

I asked my partner if it would be a good idea to listen to some “Shiit Audio”.

Her reply was,  as expected, “It can’t be very good with a name like that”

She would probably give a similar answer if l asked her “What is a “Shih Tsu?” and say, “A zoo with not a lot of animals in it”
