My Reference 3 Metas are in an open floor plan family room with a sloped ceiling to the 2nd floor (32x17). I had an SVS SB3000 that was ok but was looking for better integration and I also wanted to smooth out the response. Looked at the KC92s but the side firing would not work in my layout. Was about to pull the trigger on RELs and PS Audio released their F12s which included a PEQ. I use their PEQ to knock down a 50 hz room mode. I connect them to each of the KEF's terminals and get seamless integration compared to the single SVS. I'm very happy I added 2 and upgraded to a more musical sub. Warning, I did lose the LFE punch from the SVS but I was optimizing for 2-channel. The KEF's tight sound dominates with the F12s just filling out the low end.
