Yes, The WBC Quad Pro is their mid-tier offering on Amazon and they are very good. Amazon return policy is the best. I also use their digital rca on my DAC.
Anyone try World's Best Cable's “WBC Ultimate Assembly Range” interconnects?
Has anyone tried World's Best Cable's “WBC Ultimate Assembly Range” interconnects with or without XLR's? They look impressive with some matching specs. Please, I'm not interested in any opinions on the lower-priced stuff, i've tried those already. I'm looking at the XLR version

@vitussl101 Whoa, I did not know they made cables that expensive and they are not even for long runs, which is the problem that balanced cables were designed for. I am sure they are nice if you feel the need to spend but you are entering a pool I do not swim in my friend. |
Upon reflection you have a nice opportunity @vitussl101 to contribute to the community here. Why don't you buy both the more expensive and less expensive WBC cables and give us your honest opinion on them? This is what we live for here at the 'Gon. You can return the ones you don't choose or both, so no skin off your back and we all gain a bit more experiance. |
@bruce19 I know, it surprised me too. The longer runs, surprisingly, are not a lot if you look at the Amazon website. It's the latest Cryo Cables that surprised me today. Another %33 more than the Ultimates, but in the grand scheme of things, they are much less than my two Audioquest cables and the Shunyata cable I own. Also, the Cryo is not just a cryogenically made Ultimate construction cable, but a different cable design where they don't use a shield but a third equivalent inner core to the pos/neut cores and even lower capacitance. The company even states that this is somewhat of an experimental design and may not work in some situations as well as the lesser-priced cable. I have recently been turned on to a company in Athens, Greece, AST, that makes their own proprietary silver wire they draw themselves, I believe, like Audio Note does, to some insane purity, that an acquiantance who owns the fabulous Ypsilon CDT-100, CD player loaned me. They're not cheap like WBC, but they claim to go head-to-head with this level of stuff. I'm going to go ahead and order the WBC stuff to see how it all compares to each other. The AST silver XLR cables are arriving on the 28th of this month(so says DHL). We, or I, will hear what is what with this stuff. I also have a 13-14 foot pair of Inakustik LS-4005 AIR cable on loan from the same person, and I have to admit, they're really, really nice. I won't be purchasing a set, but at least it's nice to hear them at my place for an extended period. |
