Best concert you've attended

Mine is The Doobie Brothers, at the Civic Center in Amarillo Texas, in 1976. I was 16 years old.

The weed smoked all around us was good  too.

Little Feat in 1973 or 1975 when they were at their peak and Lowell George was on fire.

Bob Marley and the Wailers. Fox theater Atlanta, GA 1979.

I seen many others in my life. This one was by far the best. Almost spiritual

Soft White Underbelly (Blue Oyster Cult) at the Agora Ballroom Hartford CT. June 19, 1982. Only 150 people allowed inside. Stood center stage front row standing room only. Godzilla head right above the stage.

Buddy Guy at the Iron Horse Music Hall North Hampton MA 1991

REO Seedwagon at the Hammeramith Odeon London England May 28, 1985 - strangist concern I ever went to - everyone stayed seated in the seats, no standing, no dancing in the aisles but it was still an awesome experience.

Growing up in the '70's in Boston, I went to a lot of great concerts at the Garden.  Its really tough to say which was "the best," although I have to say that ELP's Brain Salad Surgery tour in December 1973 was a standout, as was Crosby, Stills Nash & Young at the Garden in 1976, which I thought was difficult to beat.

Shakti at the Berklee Performance Center in 1977 was transformational.  Put me on another planet!  But the most fun show was The B-52's at the Paradise Theater. Maybe 5 ft from the stage, dead center, sitting at the "record company" table with Steve Tyler and Rick Ocasek, it was just stupendous and everyone was dancing on the tables.  I have a bootleg of that show and brings a smile to my face every time I listen to it!  They were just phenomenal.

Mahavishnu Orchestra at the two Central Park shows that were recorded on the 2 "Between Nothingness and Eternity" albums.  We sat way up front and you can hear us on the first track of the first album.

Distant second is the Stones MSG performance that was released as "Get Your Ya-Yas Out."  The opening acts -- BB King and Ike & Tina -- were at least the equal of the Stones’s performance.  Really a great experience..
