Steppenwolf

Someone recently said, "I think it's time we gave Steppenwolf a second listen."

So I am. I bought "Magic Carpet Ride, The Dunhill/ABC Years 1967-1971"

I like it so much that when I was wondering what was in the CDP this morning I thought,

"That's not Steppenwolf! This is BS!"

Does anyone else feel the same?

I saw Steppenwolf in 1972.  Nothing flashy almost as if they were bored.  Man was I disappointed! Having bought their first seven albums, I was hoping for so much more.

Anyone remember the cover from “For Ladies Only “? 😁

I was beginning to think you were all philistines and that I would have to look for brotherhood elsewhere.

Funny. I have a great head of hair!

Heavy metal thunder.  The line that was used to define a musical genre.  Very cool.

My first concert as a teen circa 1968, with seats close enough to the stage to burn California cool into my skull.  I could not have guessed that John Kay (born Klaus Karl Kassbaum) and Nick St. Nicholas (born Joachim Fritz Krauledat) were both born in WWII Germany.
