@xmbw4 You say you've done blind testing. You had to shut down the amp, replace the fuse, turn the amp back on, wait for it to stabilize, listen again, and repeat. Is your aural memory so good that you can remember incredibly subtle details that long? Or is it just that you're inventing those subtle details. For me, as someone trained in electronics who knows what goes between a fuse and the audio producing circuitry, I know there is no way the fuse will make a difference. I don't need to bang my head against a wall to know that it will hurt. |
“This is an easy one …NO, unless of course if ferry dust is involved.”….or one failed to board the last fairy home ; ) I’ve found high end fuses to have make a difference for greater sound realism in my system. However, the delta has been small enough that A/B/A listening was required on almost all occasions, rendering improvement too slight to be worth the expense or effort for me. in friendship - kevin |
