@noromance - I saw that 'Pros and Cons' tour in Oakland on 4/20/1985, back when '420' just meant Hitler's birthday, and it was certainly one of the best shows I ever saw. Interesting that the AI response said that Eric Clapton was playing guitar, but he was already off the tour, having been replaced by Jay Stapely, who did an awesome job. Had 12th row seats dead center on the floor and a friend snuck in a tape recorder and got the whole show. Sound quality was even good, though not up there with the NY radio broadcast that ended up as 'Pros and Cons in New York'. I didn't care for the 'Pros and Cons' album that much, but wow, it was so much more powerful performed live. |
@larsman Yeah, it was amazing live for sure. We were about 25 rows back but we were up in the stands so no heads in the way and everyone was seated so it was rather civilized. Before the show, everyone was (legally) drinking on the streets, the sun was shining, and the girls thought it was 1967. I have the UK fp with the correct cover and the tour program with the GS artwork. |
