6 Moons and the First Watt website list the SIT5 at 35watts @ 8ohms,and 60watts @ 4ohms. I am currently driving a pair of Graham Chartwell LS3/5’s with a First Watt J2. That’s 25 watts @ 8ohms,and 13watts @ 4 ohms. I find that very sufficient. Best of luck.

jasonbourne71 that's very interesting. I've always wondered about the GAS Ampzilla and would like to hear it one day. But if the room is small enough and most of the volumes are around 80dB max, wouldn't the first watt work pretty well? So to speak. Admittedly right up until it doesn't. I was using a pair of 8 watt 300B monos a few years back into a 90 dB/1 watt speaker. A friend brought over a live Ben Harper recording, and at a key point the sound started to melt together. A quick swap to a 50 watt class A amp solved the issue. It changed the direction of my interests after that moment. |
