High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

The thread has ran it's course but I'd like to add that thanks to the suggestions I ended up with a Coda no.8 V1. Couldn't be more thrilled. Thanks for advice!

I go way back with amps - 1974

SAE 31B, Dynaco 410, Threshold Stasis 3, Krell KSA-100, ARC D-52, Jadis Classic 100, Pass Aleph 5, Classe CA-400, Pass X-150.

The Wotan is very similar to the Pass X-150 IMO.  Big but fast and trim bass, coherent, clean almost soft treble.

I run the Kara/Wotan/Yggy Singular driving the BMR Philharmonic Monitor v2 which goes down to about 2.8 ohms briefly in the bass - no issues.

I dislike underdamped bass, the Wotan has no issues with that.

Have not heard a Coda so I cannot address that comparison.  The Schiit Tyr have an even more pure sound than the Wotan if that's the goal.

I've never heard the Coda 8 but there are several things that appeal to me.  The first is the modest weight (60+lbs)  which for this retired boomer is a huge plus.  The second, if my understanding is correct, is that the amp can be upgraded to V2 or V3 versions which offers even more power.  Not sure if these versions will require taking on more weight  but it's nice to have that flexibility.  Kudos to Coda.
