Mundorf (non-oil) Silver / Gold EVO MCap Supreme coupling caps in your tube amp ???

Anyone have good luck with these caps in your tube amp?

>> Mundorf (non-oil) MCap Supreme EVO Silver/Gold coupling capacitors << .22uf / 1000VDC

Previously tried Clarity MR caps and Jensen Copper Oil caps in my prior (same brand) tube amp with decent success. The Jensen oils were nice and a bit more syrupy sounding than my former Clarity caps, were too harsh for me. Looking for something in between. Normally I almost always prefer oil caps; maybe not this time. We will see. For my newer tube amp, a few folks who modify/upgrade Cary tube amps recommended installing these Mundorf (non-oil) Silver Gold Supreme EVO caps - reportedly for a bit more "open and extended air, ,with more bass, and still retaining a nice lush sound" as compared to my former Jensen oil caps. I did listen to my exact same tube amp with similar tube compliment with high-end V-Caps and it was a bit too lean for my taste. I’m hoping these new EVO caps sit somewhere in between and still retain a nice smooth sound.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

To rauliruegas your analysis does not apply. I mod my own amps and tube wear does not apply here.

I have four quads of different sets of output tubes and input tubes I use, and the first set is for burn-in of the new amps, transformers, caps. Same process on the last three amplifier and pairs of monos.  It’s not about tubes changing when I’m installing new tube sets in the amps after the first 250-300 hours. I put them in storage and break out the new tube sets in each case.

I’m not interested in other caps, and super happy with my last four sets of Mundorf Evo Silver-Gold caps on my last four tube amplifiers. They are fantastic.  Best for you to move on and advertise somewhere else.  Good Luck. Happy listening.

@decooney   : I'm not advertasing nothing. Till now you have no single anwser of that caps " formed " and you have not because is a myth and if not then please tell us what is need to e formed and why.

Your last post about means nothing.

You was who first posted here that false " formed " not me.

Its what the last two manufacturers of my preamp and amps advised, and about 20 other members who installed the exact same caps in theirs heard and reported back about changes - giving it time and hearing changes over time, after 100s of hours. If you don't believe any of this, that's up to you. There is nothing to prove to you. Nothing more to say.  Best of Luck on your journey.

Dear @decooney   : It’s not that I don’t believe those manufacturers and the other tube owners. The issue for all of you is something that I posted and you still just do not comprenhed or has a heavy misunderstood. 100 hours or 200 hours the subject just does not change:

" after 300 hours to began to listen those caps your tube electronics surely sounds different but not because the caps are " formed " ( this is false ) but because those tubes changed a little or to much its quality performance levels and the other thing is that your memory after 300 hundred hours almost fail/fall completely to trust on i  t. "

Even your mood levels after those hours is different as is the electric power " contamination ". Maybe the SPL after those hour in this late listening session be a little dfferent than in the first listening session when you just changed the caps.

Exist several reasons why all of yu think that after those hours " things " are better.

I don´t know from where those tube electronics manufacturers found out that " formed " about caps.

Is normal that in your electronics when you change those kind of caps the sound will change and change because the colorations/distortions between both caps are way different due that those kind of caps are to colored and not neutral passive devices. As I posted all of you are using those " caps " as a " tone control " where in reality exist no control but only different distortion levels.

I know and trust what that you are listening and report but not for the reason you named. This is the issue.

Got it?

Decooney,
I just saw your message.
Now I have 105 hours on my capacitors and I can say things are getting better. The sound is smoother and more natural. I think, as you said, after more than 200 hours I will be more than happy.
In my Dynaudio Confidence C2 I changed the crossover to Mundorf Supreme EVO Silver Gold Oil, and it also took quite a long time to settle in. At first I was worried and a bit afraid about the change.
I didn’t use Oil capacitors in my Allnic power amplifiers, but I think I made the right decision.
Thank you for your reply, and let’s keep enjoying these Mundorf Supreme EVO Silver Gold.
I will be patient!
Best regards
