2 channel vs headphones

Just curious how many of you have both a high end system but also listen to high end headphone systems as well?

Until about 9 months ago, I would have unhesitatingly responded, "Speakers." But I started to wear prescription hearing aids and, unfortunately, I've found that listening through them, even "optimized" for music, to my speakers is often less satisfying than listening to headphones without my hearing aids.

Both!

I love the sound of my Focal headphones.  I think I actually prefer the headphone sound - more detail, and I hear things like backing vocals and guitars, and it sounds like I'm in the middle of the stage.

But I also love the feel of the speakers and bass.

Both, I used 2 channel in nearfield in my smaller second dedicated room ...Then with a top headphone and a good 2 channel system i dont feel any frustration...

But in my first dedicated greater room, i did not had  any need for my Top headphone and it is the reason why i did not bother to optimize them then at the time...

A controlled acoustic room beat any headphone ( even in intimacy which is a fact ignored by most ) ...The only way to use a Top headphone on par with any two channel system it is probably to use a Bacch set of filters designed by Choueiri but with a Top headphone to begin with...

Anyway i am satisfied now and my hobby is no more audio because i learned what i intended to learn to optimize any system... And i dont focus obsessively on expanse for upgrade... Music accompany now my other hobby ...(A.I. investigation and maths)

I sit between forward facing speakers.  It’s like the biggest headphones ever and quite enjoyable!

I just don't like headphones period. It doesn't matter much how good they sound, it is unnatural music presentation. I only use them rarely when monitoring recordings that I sometimes make to tape and late at night listening to news and youtube videos. I have Grado RS1 and HIFI Man headphones in the house.
