Three things I’ve learned about listening.


1. If you listen for sonic problems you’ll find them.

2. Since it is a hobby, you feel you have to play with it.

3. If it sounds really good, leave it alone!

These are wise things you offer. I would also say that as an artist by training and practice, I have learned that you can't get better if you won't take good apart, and try something else. 

 

I frequently make my listening room worse before I make it better. That goes for any art portfolio I'm working on. I just think failure is baked into the process...

I am always enjoying the music. It’s just the fact that I don’t Have a couple million dollars sitting in a bank somewhere. So I skimp and save for the next one.
