Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!

On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!

Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.

Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

Another good question:   why aren’t there more sidewalks and bike lanes?

fun fact: they built (painted lines) a few miles of bike lanes in my district this year. To be exact, around 10 miles. Facebook exploded with posts about how useless and wasteful and disruptive they are. I use those bike lanes every day. And cars/drivers still often harass me, throw bottles and cigarette butts at me. We are living in such an educated, enlightened world.

I live in South OC, CA and we have lots of bike lanes and side walks and I’ve never seen such behavior. Sadly though, too many bad accidents and deaths of cyclists, I’m guessing many due to distracted driving.

I’m a mountain biker not a road biker, but I support bike lanes 100% and I obey those dotted lines where cars are permitted to cross the bike lane.

@macg19 They are fixing one road - and made the 2 lanes and one bike lane into one, on a section on less than 300 yards. There is a big sign with a bicycle on it saying SHARE THE ROAD placed at every 100 yards.

Still, when I bike on it as carefully and humbly as possible, I get drivers screaming at me that this road is closed for bikers and they also drive by me at 55 mph (35 mph zone) inches from me. I would avoid this road for my physical and mental health but this is a connecting road through the canyon.

Big problem selfish idiots will kill me some day and I may be much better off dead than suffering from their destructions day in, day out. That doesn't solve much for my kids though.

@parkergetdean That is disappointing to say the least. Mountain biking is way safer; injuries are almost always self-inflicted.
