Sonus faber - Amati suprema?

Anybody heard this very expensive speaker? Is it that much better than the Amati G5?

 glad to "hear" the more fatiguing tweeters are not on the new Amati Supreme. Just taking a bit of time to digest the massive cost i'm gonna incur trading my awesome G5's in.. lol .. The size of the Amati is perfect for my room. Thought about Il Cremonese, Lillium and others in the $70-80k range, but can't beat the Amati for my space.
Talking with my AV guy, he's thinking that SF will incorporate the mid/double tweeter of the $750K Suprema into OTHER sf models, that the Amati was the "experiment", and with the good review and market approval it's had, they are gonna go with the other than 2 color automotive paint type finish on the Amati (only way i'll buy a pair), and then likely move that design into other model lines.. will see!

I wish you lived closer I'm up north near New York. Curious to know what you're gonna receive on the trade-in for the G5s.

@emergingsoul , $29.5k trade in, 2 yrs old and perfect condition in Red Wood finish, and they will come and box em up and take em away. a guy that bought my 611's (traded those in toward the 75th anev 1.25kw's) is likely gonna buy em and wire me the money direct to avoid the sales ta*.

@melk-man

I have 611s too and not using them. I opted to go with a tube amplifier but did consider the 1.25.  I use 802 D3 from Bowers.  I like keeping the 611's for back up and that has happened with a tube amplifier.

It seems like you guys are talking about expensive Sonus Faber speakers, maybe you can help me out. My tinnitus is getting so extreme I have decided to change speakers and get rid of my horn speakers, my ears can’t handle it anymore, at 72 what a bummer getting old is. Researching around it seems the Sonus Faber speakers may be the ticket for a softer midrange and top end, what do you guys think?..My budget will be 15k or less after I sell both pairs of horn speakers I have.
