@lewm No. Although the timeline just about dovetails. Sad Story. "Fell in love with a teacher." A lot of that back then. That's her on "Lebanese Blonde". Never knew.
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Earth Day, turn those amps OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again, it is Environmentally IRRESPONSIBLE to leave your equipment on for long periods of time, before or after, or truly despicable, ON all the time!
On, 20 mins, listen, done, off!
Doctors, Lawyers, Trust Fund Kiddos, come on now.
Where were you in 1970?, I was there in Manhattan (went to college at Pratt in Brooklyn 1966-1970)

Those of you worried about Class A amps' energy cost, all you have to do is skip one domestic airline flight and you could run your amp for nearly 7 years, 2 hours a day. Domestic flight (~1000 mi): 1609 km × 246 g CO₂/km = 396 kg CO₂ Class A amp (300W): 1,501 kWh ÷ 0.3 kW = 5,003 hours

@wsrrsw I fell in love with a teacher too, Big scandal. We married in May 1969 and work every day at making it a permanent relationship. |
No, I had to read about him, then a vague memory about the missing woman. He spoke at 1st Earth Day in Philly. It’s quite a story https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_Einhorn I was married, had a kid, working part time, loans, putting myself thru school (declared myself financially independent from my evil stepfather) and Pratt and any art school, they give you a project, you work as easy or hard as you choose, I thought they made a mistake letting me in, and needed deans’ list for the scholarship money, so I never worked harder in my life. I would NEVER go back to school. Well, I did take a class in Transcendental Meditation, that’s when the great creator told me to turn those amps off. |
