If all human are flawed, non trained ears versus trained ears are flawed too...An acoustician ears/brain is not an Amir ears/brain...

But there is a specific point  almost everyone miss :   We are trained as audiophile  on a specific acoustic context : a room which is our own and a system parameters which is uniquely  our own with our own psycho-acoustics biases...

Double blind test can "debunk"  specific aspect when they are taken  out of their natural specific  psycho-acoustics and  acoustics context... Then what ? 

Simple blind test as any audiophile do experimenting is enough...no need for a circus to know that hearing is subjective also...

Amir sell and market  his site, not "science" ... Or is he another famous case of the : "science" it is me ? 

Milind Kunchur debunked Amir once for all . It is easy to read  simple article of Kunchur  on acoustics and Amir flaws... go to his site...

Can a measurement detect instrument separation?  Can it detect 3D soundstage?  Can it detect clarity and accuracy?  I definitely hear these differences when changing gear and sometimes cables.  

I believe there is value in measurements such as frequency response and spectral decay, but it's only a piece of the puzzle.

Vetitas sells cables ranging from 200-2k. Even their entries are very good. Who’s buying $10k cables again?

I’m already completely confused on where this thread is going now lol. I enjoy swapping cables as part of the hobby experience. Got a bit of a collection now, including some "exotics" from years past that were acquired used at big discounts - yes original MSRP in excess of 10K in some cases. I have had instances where I prefer a cable LOWER in a line to the one above it (yes I know that does not absolve me of sighted biases etc etc, just stating an observation as a hobbysist and not some wannabe scientist). Mostly I enjoy swapping copper & silver SC’s to get the right mix for a system as I change out gear. I particularly enjoy the quirky colorful braids of older Audioquest silver cable series haha. It’s easily audible if you’re paying attention imo, but still relatively subtle overall and not worth stressing over. It’s DEFINITELY not worth getting upset over how much someone spent on this or that. Though I will say current AQ lines are priced well beyond what I’m willing to spend now - thank god for the used market.

I have to believe if 2 electrical output signals are the same then they should have no affect on the sound. The problem, I believe is, that we only measure some factors of our gear and there is more going on. If we knew all factors and we measured them then they must sound the same. But for instance the old classic measurements were simple sine waves into pure resistors. But in listening we are dealing with impedance, not resistance, signals that are complex combinations of tons of sine waves, and signals that change with time and dynamics. Measuring that is a horse of another color.
