A seriously bad look for the brands he represents. Maybe they don't care as long as he makes them money. I know for sure where I won't be spending mine.
AXPONA Chicago April 10-12, 2026 - Who is going??
Hi gang, I'm looking forward to attending again - all three days. If you're going, what are you most looking forward to hearing/seeing?
As was mentioned elsewhere, Andrew Jones and his new field-coil speakers will definitely be getting attention, but what else is on your radar?
Anyone want to meet for a cocktail on Friday or Saturday?

jafant, lovely system you have; I detect an infatuation with disc players! That is a legitimate means of introducing variety into a system without having to haul massive speakers or house them. I can appreciate the Thiel speakers, a lovely brand of yesteryear. The Audiophile Laws is a collection of principles revealed by building hundreds of systems over 30+ years, 20 years as a reviewer for Dagogo.com. Essentially, as I reviewed, I also turned my room and systems I was building into an informal testing facility to assess every variable related to assembling and advancing audio systems. I tested cables and cable configurations, components with all their varieties of setup, and tweaks. I discuss what should be expected from different genres and builds of speakers, and much more. I discuss factors that inhibit advancing the system and how to efficiently ensure progress is made. Much of the received wisdom and methods of the community is simply wrong, and I share what works. There is a thorough discussion of the book on the website using the same name.

@hilde45, One of OCD Mikey's videos caught me at the right time in my hifi journey a number of years ago. I was in the exact spot he was speaking about regarding having nice gear that sounded like turds. I was frustrated and unsure how to fix what was wrong in my rig. I called him and we spoke for about two hours. He's very consultative and is awesome to work with! We've had many long conversations and hung out in Atlanta and Chicago at AXPONA last year. I consider him a good friend.

Re: OCD Mikey You can’t find a better guy to buy from . Great solid guy to work with Goes above and beyond The customer experience -satisfaction was his priority in the 3 things I’ve purchased from him.
These days having a dealer tell you that you would be making a mistake buying something is refreshing . Based in my experiences with him he is my 1st choice to buy from ..without a doubt. Got no issues with those that are polarized by his comments ...that’s their right ..but when it comes to the real stuff of actually buying something from him he’s top notch
