Accuphase DC-1000 Processor/DAC

After a recent thread on streamers I decided to look into DACs, particularly the Accuphase DC-1000.  Currently own an Accuphase DC-37 Processor/DAC . My Innuos Pulsar feeds the DC-37  via Innuos Phoenix USB out. The DC-37 feeds my Accuphase C2300 preamplifier via XLR.  Seeing that streaming is my only source for music,  I'm considering upgrading my DAC to the Accuphase DC-1000 and I'm wondering if this is an actual and noteworthy upgrade.

@rms456  I had an mpd-8 for one year prior to the DP-770; Better synergy with the DP-770- maybe it’s better gain matching, who knows, but the shocker to me is, I’m easily hearing 10-15% more musical information on the top end- there is more detail and soundstage layering as a result. The DAC section of the dp-770 seems faster and more alive than the playback, which sometimes can sound sleepy. This usually comes with a trade off; presence region / midrange dry or forward, analytical ; Not so with the DP-770; It’s my first Accuphase digital component and like the amp and preamp, I’m really impressed and happy with it.

@audiopacer: I feel exactly the same about the difference between the Dac section of my DP-550 and the combined use of its transport and Dac during CD / SACD playback!

@audiopacer well I did it! I bought an Accuphase DC-1000. As soon as I have it plugged in and running I'll report back.  I can't tell you how excited I am.
