Andrew Jones new Field coil speakers

Andrew jones is very talented , but these new Field coil speakers all made in China

the quality I am sure is there , but my brother and 2 friends heard them and they are very good , but not. At $34000.
my brother owns the Great TADCE1 TX. And the are exceptional and refined  they both stated the design and drivers are far superior in the TAD  and  the same price point , just look at Mofi the driver look very similar  inside the fiel coils are  much better then mofo with separate power supplies , cost wise  to make the Tad  for sure,  and the ❤️ of the speakerTad is using  Foetex and other parts from Japan not China . The Bass they said a bit more Bass punch on the Jones speaker ,

but the Tad is all about refined precision .  They are straight shooters ,and  have the $$ to buy what they want , these tads they said are not going anywhere they are a bargain and with discounts $30k , just comparing 🍎 to 🍏 Apples.

He partnered with 2 brothers. The investment needs to be worthwhile to not 1 but 3 shareholders. The price reflects this. Lots of mark-ups from China factory to your listening room. I bet most would fall off your chair if you knew the cost out of China.

Field coil drivers ae wonderful and a headache at the same time. I have two friends that went down that path. When the stars aligned, they were some of the best drivers I’ve heard. But they can be a pain to get set up right and the power supplies for the driver’s field coil must be very good and need clean power or you will have issues i.e. hum etc. I’m sure a good part of that cost is those power supplies they can make or break a field coil driver. Both my friends had to spend upwards of $3000 for those power supplies and even then, they had their moments. But and a big but when you have them dialed in, they are wonderful. Not sure if his designs will have adjustability in the field coil levels as that can also make for interesting differences in sound.

One of my friends uses Supra vox field coils and the other Voxativ. Both in open baffles, the Vox set up is much more expensive all around and lovely.

PS Audio is having a sale and they're selling certain items at roughly 50% off and you know they're still making money.

I heard the speakers at about 1pm on Friday and Axpona,  Sorry to say, to my ears, they sounded not good.  They screeched at me.  Had to leave.
