Is Qubuz Direct really better

I have had Qobuz for several years now, and I see the Q direct came out last year.  Is it really different and worth using.  The way I am reading it you don't need the streamer app anymore and slightly better sound quality.  What say you smart people?

You typed Qobuz direct....I'm assuming you're actually referring to QB connect....If not disregard my thoughts.  I A/B ed with QB connect vs my QB through my Aurender Conductor app. and found a noticeable difference.  I'm thinking that the two different implementations have a different pathway through the streamer and that was the sonic difference.

My finding was that I preferred QB through the Conductor app over QB connect.  It has more weight and meat on the bones.  Playing QB connect, still through the Aurender server, gave me a thinner sonic presentation on my system.  My 2c and your mileage may vary.

Do you mean "Qobuz Connect"?

Its an app that only works with compatible gear. One big advantage is that it lets you switch between players, even midstream. However its still the same digital file going to your player. Some people claim it sounds better but I don't find it sounds any different. One drawback for me is that it won't play your local collection.

Remember that opinions are a dime a dozen around here. Try QC for yourself. It's free if you have a Qobuz account and doesn't interfere with your existing apps so choose the one that fits your mood at the moment.

Thank you both and yes I meant connect.  If there is not an improved sound, I will stick with my WiiM and Cambridge apps.  They sound pretty good.

If you find that there is no sound quality difference, then the Qobuz apps user interface is better than native streaming boxes apps. Way more exploration and offerings.

Aurender Conductor App is superior. More body and weight. Qobuz Connect is thinner and slightly more airy. Compared several times. Always the same result.
