Should Room Acoustics be an Audiogon ‘topic’?
The available topics on Audiogon do not include Room Acoustics. This area is as important as any other, and has a far greater impact on what we hear than amps, preamps, and cables put together, IMO. Does anyone know how to lobby to include it? Do I need to start a petition? ; )

@hilde45 I respectfully disagree with you. Rearranging the furnishings in our rooms, and deciding how to place our speakers are within the scope of the forum as it is currently structured. These and similar topics fall well outside the field of acoustics. For the vast majority of us, we do not deal with acoustics in the true sense. Rather we have a home, we pick a room and we adapt it to our needs. Acoustics does not come into play unless we are building from from scratch. This is a step beyond in my opinion. Moreover, there are very few qualified to discuss it here. |
