Aurender N200 users or past users

Have you stepped up through the Aurender line? I am currently using an Aurender N150. I think I would like to move to an N200. A simple question would be is it worth it? How does the soundstage compare? Is another output useful or just decoration? Any changes subtle or substantial?

If you haven’t I’d put the question to ChatGPT. It is really good with questions like this. Its answer is excellent. How resolving the rest of your system is will be a primary factor... if your system is pretty warm and not very resolving it will be smaller. The soundstage is the same, but with better defined images and musical tones more continuous.

Technologically the N200 is a much better streamer and in the right system, while cut from the same cloth sounds much better.

I own a N150, W20SE and have heard the N10 and N20... so there is some inference hear... but I thought the ChatGPT answer is spot on.

@audphile1 Somewhat off topic, but I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile.  I know that you have experimented with different USB cables with the N200, but did you ever try SPDIF to utilize the clock in the N200?  I don't know which has the better clock between the Bricasti M3 and the N200, but understand that the N200 is optimized for USB which will let the DAC do the clocking.  Thanks.

@audiostick yes I did. Used it with DH Labs D750 coax cable.
The sound is less resolving and the soundstage is not as wide. It’s still very good. But even the stock usb cable that came with aurender beat the coax sound.

I went from a N100H to a N200 and it was a huge upgrade. Streaming to a Yggdrasil OG with Gen5 USB
