Should Room Acoustics be an Audiogon ‘topic’?

The available topics on Audiogon do not include Room Acoustics. This area is as important as any other, and has a far greater impact on what we hear than amps, preamps, and cables put together, IMO. Does anyone know how to lobby to include it? Do I need to start a petition? ; )

Absolutely!   I’m interested to read about things that are common in every day room s.  Invisible acoustics treatment!!

I vote no because while I agree that it is an important issue, acoustics is a technical subject beyond the scope of forums such as this one.  If I could draw an analogy, acoustics is a subject like circuit design.  Would it make sense to have a circuit design topic in this forum?  It would be more appropriate to visit an architecture forum.

This argument is prima facie false. It's based on the premise that acoustics is necessarily more technical than the other topics. But acoustics could be as basic as speaker positioning and the difference between an absorber and a diffuser or as complex as room physics. But all the other topics also span this range -- from basic to complex. Go look in other detailed discussions people have here about electronics, design, engineering, etc. On your logic, we should eliminate Speakers, Amplifiers, Vinyl and just about everything else.
