Hey….only “rare” in the sense that it’s one of a kind as configured. 1 of my 2 tables is a VPI HR-X with a bunch of mods/upgrades. Table is massive and HEAVY.
— leaky pneumatic feet replaced with VPI Avenger Reference feet (~$2500/set retail), same feet as on the $26K table
— tonearm upgraded to top-of-the-line 12” Fatboy Gimbal ($4500 retail) Still have the super-desirable 12” WMI Unipivot
— Rim-drive replaced with flywheel (lower noise). Still have the rim drive pulley also (hard to find)
— VTA upgraded to huge HW-40 VTA (amazing). Still have original silver VTA.
— custom acrylic tabletop cover with etched VPI logo
— Dual motor unit has 2 brand new Hurst motors in it
— Has ultra-rare VPI SUPERPLATTER (included)
— Rare VPI welded steel HR-X floor stand
