Does Gryphon Diablo 300 Benefit With A Costly Mains Power Cable?

Can any Gryphon Diablo 300 owners share your experiences if there is a noticeable or significant improvement or difference when a costly mains power cable is used with the amp? Or it's only a minor difference?

I have tried some rather costly power cables such as Furutech DPS4.1/FI-50(R) NCF and Acrolink Mexcel and comparison revealed some minor differences. I'm thinking of trying a Shunyata Alpha-X NR. I would appreciate any experiences.

I’m an owner of a Gryphon Diablo 300 and when I replace the power Cord the on the Gryphon the sound difference between a DIY power cord that I have and the Nordost Heimdall 2 was noticeable in favor of the Nordost. Maybe this may help.

Congrats, the Diablo300 is fantastic, one of the best sounding amps that I have ever heard.

I have tried a few PCs with it and to me, they all make some level of sonic difference.  In the end, I liked the Audience front row best. The hurricane aq was powerful but a little mushy on highs, the Elrod golden signature was good - kind of an inside out sound - but rounded the highs and bass, while the Audience was just right.

Regardless of the naysayers that exist, trust your ears and see what you like best!

Tip - the 300 benefitted from some isolation feet in my system, so dont be afraid to try those as well.

Happy listening!

An old SR A/C Master Coupler improved dynamics on my Diablo 300. The swedish Gryphon distributor uses Nordost PCs.

Give a call to Snake River Audio and check out a Takshaka PC, I think it may surprise you and is reasonably priced compared to some of the others mentioned. Jonny offers a money back guarantee. He puts 200 hours on a cable before it leaves his shop.

I would think an amp of that caliber (or any component really) would benefit from at least a halfway decent aftermarket power cable. That seems pretty straight forward to me.
