I just got these horns set up with my Tannoy Turnberry speakers. This has been a lot of fun and I’m truly blown away with the performance. These do give that “live” sound that horns are known for. I started out using the “Bold” capacitor for more presence, but it was a little too bright. I settled on the “Neutral” or balanced capacitor, which is perfect with my speakers. I listen to a lot of Alternative and Indie Rock, which sounded great! Jazz is where these horns really shine. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and they will stay in place. I really like that “live” sound and it really opened up the soundstage. The soundstage is huge. I’m using a set of Analysis Plus Oval 8 speaker cables from the X2 Horn to my speakers terminals and I’m very happy with them. Set up is simple. Standard/ amp side speaker cables connect to the inner terminals on the X2 Horn and the outer terminals connect to the speaker terminals. The X2 horn crossover bypass the internal Tannoy crossover. It works flawlessly.
