SHUNYATA RESEARCH VRS CARDAS AUDIO VRS SYNERGISTIC RESEARCH

This discussion IS NOT A REQUEST for an opinion related to ANY cable in my system. I am not looking for cable recommendations, or equipment recommendations.

I am looking for comments associated with your listening experiences using the three cables. I have been using Shunyata Research cables for years. I am considering a new loom, and again, I DO NOT WANT RECOMMENDATIONS I WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPIONS OF THESE CABLES IN YOUR STSTEM.

hey it’s great if you own the following; Eggleston Works Andra III se, McIntosh MC601 monos, McIntosh C2600 pre, McIntosh DS200 digital streaming DAC, Panasonic Blue Ray DP-UB9000.

i have been using Shunyata ZiTron series (Snakes), starting with Cobra,Python, & Anaconda.

What was or is your thoughts, and experiences with Synergetic Research and Cardas Audio and if you own any of my equipment and Shunyatas tell me about that.
I want to know YOUR experience with these cables, please list system components also

I appreciate you all thanks

My current primary system:

AGD audion mkiii mono amps
LTA Microzotl preamp
SoulNote D2 Dac
Innuos Pulsar Streamer
Dynaudio Heritage Speakers
Puritan 156 power conditioner
Power cables are a mix of Cardas, Lessloss, and Kimber Palladian
Speaker cables and IC are Cardas Clear
Mad Scientist Prime USB and Revelation Labs Ethernet

I recommend the cardas clear speaker cables. I have not demoed too many speaker cables, but feel it would be difficult to better these cables in my system. They make the system sing. I am curious about the Kubala Sosna Emotion speaker cables and hope to purchase a used pair in the future to compare against the cardas cables.

Below is my experience and satisfaction with a full loom of Synergistic Research cabling.

In a highly resolving system, every component has its own sonic signature.  The more separates a system has - of different brands, the more challenging it is to optimize the SQ.  Synergistic Research has developed their proprietary tuning modules purposely to deal with this situation.  To enable integration of disparate components - as well as to tweak the SQ for one’s personal preference.

I stream from Tidal - 16/44.1 Redbook only.  The goals for my modest system were to have a grand piano actually sound like a grand piano - Roberta Gambarini’s voice sound tantalizing - and Buddy Guy’s guitar to wail.     Mission accomplished.

An unexpected bonus is that Big Band and Orchestral sound like some kind of wonderful.   After years of cable-auditioning, the SQ finally gelled after installing SR.

My post copied from another thread.

As mentioned in my Virtual System, I’ve auditioned a mix of many, many high-quality cables.   About 10 years ago, I settled on a full-loom of WyWires Gold Series signal cables - the top of the line - back then.  Yet, I still had a variety of power cords from different manufacturers.

After reading this glowing review, I purchased this digital cable on a 30 day trial basis. The SQ was unlike any other cable that I’d experienced before.  Not only did I keep it, I now have a full loom of Synergistic Research Atmosphere signal cables - upper-tier series.  Along with many assorted SR power cords - from different model series.*  All the cables accept SR’s proprietary tuning modules and ground connections.

Before my SR loom, if I wanted to tweak the system’s SQ, I need to try a different cable.  Then wait a week or so for it to burn-in.  Then a few more weeks to decide.  Over the years, this buy-try-sell-repeat again became exasperating.  No more.

The elegant solution (for me) is a baggie full of active and passive SR tuning modules - from different generations. It takes only a few minutes or so to try one here - or try a different one there.  Currently in my system, some SR cables have no tuning modules at all - while others have different colors.  Some are grounded, while others are not.   Lots and lots of possible permutations.   After much experimenting and patience, my system is deliciously dialed-in for my ears.   It was a labor of love - and - a love of labor.

The key factor is that I really enjoy experimenting & discovering.  It’s all part of lifelong learning.    An SR loom might not be the right choice for those who don’t enjoy tweaking.

* With the assorted SR power cords, it still took experimenting as to where each one worked best - with which component.  It wasn’t set & forget.  Lots of trial & error.

Of course, the primary components need to be able to deliver a quality signal in the first place.
