Impex Records

Any yays or nays with regards to Impex Records albums?

I know that they’ve been around for 10+ years but I have never purchased any of their LP’s.

Are they worth the $ and how much of a difference is there between their LP’s and for lack of a better description, stock LP’s?

bahston

Impex has been all over the interwebs for the last few weeks.  They seem to spend a lot of time making a finished product.

I agree with the above.  Well worth trying.  Have similar issues with the Barber disc, but overall sound is killer.

Impex is a good recording company, started from Cisco . I own one step as well. CD or vynil I have them.I just watch on YouTube how they do their reissues.Abby Fonn of Impex is truly audiophile. I want to see her at axpona in less than two weeks.

I listened to the Impex one step, Getz/Gilberto, then purchased the Impex Hybrid SACD.  Later, I realized I preferred the sound of my original MOFI disc over the Hybrid SACD.

Just ordered Duke Ellington and Miles Davis after hearing these Impex pressings on a friend’s rig.  SQ is very good and pressing is perfectly flat.  Looking forward to adding them to my collection.  As far as the price of LPs today when you factor in inflation the LPs that we paid $5/8 for back in the 60s/70s are right where they should be at $35/45 in today’s $. I’m good with that, although I do shop around:)
Enjoy the music.
