Roon Issues - Not able to play certain tracks

I have been running into this issue when Roon is in the radio mode where spontaneously it runs into a track it can’t play. It just sits there trying to play it.
When I go to that album and attempt to manually play that same track on Qobuz the result is the same - it won’t play. Plays other tracks from the albums just fine.
If I go back to Roon radio and skip that track the next song is played no issues.
No such problems with Tidal.

I have rebooted the Roon Nucleus One, rebooted my network, rebooted my DAC.
Even signed out of streaming services and signed back in. No bueno. This is in addition to it being sluggish and requiring an almost daily reboot to maintain sound quality and proper operating speed. Now this…

Anyone else with this problem?

I am having the issue and I expect, like all other issue with Roon/Qobuz, it will straighten out, miracleulessly in a few weeks.  I have both Tidal and Qobuz and I have seen similar issues with both platforms:-)

There’s not a streaming option in this universe that will match the performance of a comparably priced CD or analog setup. I’m talking mid fi and up. Lower priced stuff is crapshoot and most likely makes sense to stick with streaming if your entire system is valued under $1000.
Reports of streaming matching CD or vinyl are most likely from the user base that

1. doesn’t have the system to resolve the benefits of physical media

2. Of the age or health conditions that preclude them from using physical media. This includes very expensive high end setups…which doesn’t matter because the user doesn’t have the capacity to manage cueing and flipping records, cleaning the stylus or even checking the VTF. I’ll be in that boat st some point if I make it that far LOL

3. love and value convenience over sound quality

4. don’t have a collection of physic media and don’t want to deal with the expense or time required to maintain this hobby

Not exact science what I listed above but you catch my drift…

Note the below info link from Roon regarding their new HW/SW requirements to support their 4/20 update. I can recommend the Small Green Computer i9 Roon core server which exceeds the specs for the 4/20 upgrade. Many PC/Mac and NAS core servers will probably not work so well with this release. Also insure if possible you are using wired Ethernet vs WiFi. I’m using Cisco managed switches and Synology router along with fiber connection between network and DAC and do not see problems described by many users in these forums.

I was also having this issue the last few weeks.  I asked grok about it and apparently roon has been doing some backend work involving cloud migration and content server reorganization.  I just had an update installed and it seems to be much better now.  FYI, I get much better help with roon issues by using one of the AI tools than anything from roon itself.
