OMG! I remember trying to set up one of those Vestigial arms many years ago. Extra emphasis on the word try. I failed utterly. I will stop short of condemnation of the arm because I was never able to figure out if the one I was working on was defective, was miss something, or if it was just a Waterloo moment for me. |
As noted, I owned one too. The most problematic element was the crazy Vestigial tonearm that had a vertical pivot at the juncture of the headshell and arm wand. Try setting VTA on that one. I bought it strictly for its coolosity. I have never yet seen "Clockwork Orange" in its entirety. Found out years later that the movie and the Transcriptors are associated. |
