You mentioned that youd consider a receiver...look at Anthem. My brother uses an integrated fron the AVM line that'll work well, but if you buy new, you'll be more into I t than you'd be with the krell.
Magnepan LRS+ and WiiM Amp
I currently run my Qualio IQ (89 dB, 4 Ohm) speakers with a WiiM Amp both for music and it is also connected to the TV via HDMI. The WiiM amp runs them very well. Recently listened to the Magnepan LRS+ at a friend's house and was really surprised witht the clarity of sound. Since then have been thinking of getting a pair. The only place I think where I can keep the Magnepans is in the TV room to provide space both sides and I am limited to using the WiiM Amp due to the HDMI feature. Looking for advice/experience on pairing the LRS+ with the WiiM Amp.

None of those are a good fit. I did regional search (Dubai, Saudi Arabia) for amps that would work and found nothing used. You’ll need to look to Europe for options. There you can find used Krell (FPB, KSA/KMA, KAV series), Bryston 4B‑SST / SST² / 4B³) and perhaps the Hegel H20 / H30. Brystons are brutes and last forever. The 4Bs are plentiful on the used market and I see them all the time on Ebay (US). I know this is a hassle, but it's what's required for those speakers. |
