Magnepan LRS+ and WiiM Amp

I currently run my Qualio IQ (89 dB, 4 Ohm) speakers with a WiiM Amp both for music and it is also connected to the TV via HDMI. The WiiM amp runs them very well. Recently listened to the Magnepan LRS+ at a friend's house and was really surprised witht the clarity of sound. Since then have been thinking of getting a pair. The only place I think where I can keep the Magnepans is in the TV room to provide space both sides and I am limited to using the WiiM Amp due to the HDMI feature. Looking for advice/experience on pairing the LRS+ with the WiiM Amp.

thanks

Magnepans need as much current as you can feed them in my experience.  I have the LRS+ but I'm running a pair of Maraschino Cherry monos that can do around 800 watts at 2 ohms.  I wouldn't describe the LRS+ as "not clean up top" at all, they're a very nice speaker.

My experience with Magnepans was they need as much power as you can throw at them,  but not necessarily as much current as many.

I have just picked up a Luxman L3 (vintage). Will take a few days to reach. Will try the combination. Class A, 42W.

Couldn't you find any less expensive and less powerful amplifire to drive your Magnepan speakers? Very strange, indeed.
