Absolutely worth having both streaming and physical media available for playback.
New original recordings properly mastered sound amazing on streaming. Older stuff that was remastered is not worth the effort with streaming for the most part. That’s when you play an all analog version of that album on LP and hear it the way it was intended.

@newton_john ok. That’s no problem. Plenty of original vinyl out there. In addition the new reissues done by some very skilled dudes like Kevin Gray will blow away the remastered crap. And when I say blow away I am not exaggerating. You just can’t get this sound on streaming. |
Older stuff that was remastered is not worth the effort with streaming for the most part. So true. The number of worthy remasters in my experience can be counted on one hand. Robin Lane & The Chartbusters is one of the few candidates, if only to help assure that the quintessential rock recording OAT, "Don’t Wait Till Tomorrow," is not yet lost to memory. |
