AI saids Vinyls needs to be stored 90 degrees. I had mine at about 70 degrees. Thoughts?

I own about 20 vinyls (some rare DJ mixes or 12 inch mixes). Most of them came from the 90s. I keep my house in about the degree range of 77-80 (I am the type to get cold easy). I kept my vinyls in a milk crate. Most them were stored at angle about 70 degrees. AI saids this is very bad and they could have some warping. Any thoughts, please?

@emergingsoul   you read your AI magic 8-ball wrong…you were supposed to put the Mary Poppins album in the toaster.   That’s why it’s on an angle.    If you’re not going to pay closer attention to what the AI machine tells you, then you deserve crooked toast.    SMH.

@emergingsoul

"I don't really like toast. I think all the charred surfaces lead to cancer."

Yes, those damned acrylamides! I bet you like your meat charred on the grill though. Add that to a whole list of others like dental floss, toast, broccoli, mushrooms all full of carcinogens. Soon it will be water and air. Have a nice day.smiley

It really depends on what latitude and longitude you are at. You may have to compensate the degree of slant for the elevation as well.

1. Don’t use AI for hifi questions

2. Call them records or albums…Vinyls brands you as a recent record collector with little knowledge of record collecting

3. Store records upright in a supported but not tight cabinet. And in a temp controlled area at 30% or lower humidity if possible

Isn't referring to LP records as vinyls like calling the tires on your car rubbers or an acoustic guitar a wood?
