Should I keep the Turntable or sell it?
The Croft mates well with the 2m Blue cartridge.... I have it on an old early 1980s Technics DD that sounds great and will probably be providing great LP playback for someone long after I’m gone.....

Agree with the poster who mentioned there are many roads to analog bliss... You might enjoy one of the Croft Acoustics tube preamps with built in MM phono stage....,I have one of the now discontinued Basic Micro 25s I purchased used.... so involvi...
Speaker advice for listening to Blues music
Oh yes....saw Albert King at an armory BYOB show in Kansas City in the early 1980s..unreal experience, still a top 10 concert for me. Yes, I would also recommend the Klipsch Heresy / Forte / Chorus ...they R&R and with tubes or SS can produce ...
I'm having a really hard time with: "Power cable reduced my soundstage"...
What he said!!!
So just how much vinyl do YOU own?
Around 3,500...selling some and giving away some dupes recently...

Captbeaver...Enjoy your simple system and resist the temptation to understand any "science" regarding hifi. Try several PCs in your system and keep the one you like if any of them seem to improve your connection to the music.
Increasing gain for your vinyl front end when pre-amp doesn't quite have enough juice
If most of your listening is rock/pop focused, I would agree with the option of considering putting the Vandys in a second system or selling them and getting a pair of Klipsch Heresys, Fortes or the old Klipsch Chorus. They will rock hard on 30-75...

Puzzled about reasons why there seems to be no shortage of used planner speakers
Hi Rogue....I love Maggies and am thinking about a pair of LRS for a second system. The question may be if your current system brings YOU to tears and connects you to the music, keep it and enjoy other systems with other SQ values you love when yo...
Well maybe it IS my hearing
Yes, Erik as others have mentioned, if you post on forums and social media about audio (or most anything else in 2019), prepare to duck!!!!Our uncivil society is tough....
What is proper ratio of money spent on amp/preamp/integrated vs speakers? 1:1?
I would echo the "There is None" proper ratio response. My take is that after settling on the speakers that fit your preferences and room, the preamp is the "secret sauce" of every great system I have owned and/or been moved by. A great preamp mak...
Is it possible to have vinyl nearly noise free?
Hi there,  most of my LPs are quiet, dead quiet. Cartridge is an Ortofon 2M Black or Blue. I clean them with a VPI 16.5 machine and use the AI-Audio Intelligent fluids (Premium Archivist Formula as I don't like to use any alcohol...on my records!)...
Disco...yep, I'm going there
AND as two old sayings go;- People will always love Disco because they like to dance and don’t need a degree from Juilliard to understand it (Not sure who said that one)- As long as there are 13 year old boys, there will be heavy metal
Disco...yep, I'm going there
Instead of Daft Punk & LCDSS  (IMO weak background music) try Kraftwerk....the Godfathers, along with Tangerine Dream of electronic music.
Who needs a tuner?
I have one of the Sony HD tuners Sam Telling raved about years ago in Stereophile....sweet sounding little box. Here in Col. Spring we have 5-6 stations worth listening to incl. a listener supported classical station KCME, with no college connecti...
