Accuphase E-280 Voltage Conversion (100V to 120V)

Does anyone know how to convert voltage of Accuphase E-280 100v to 110/120v?

The following is the state of 100V

I wish the newer Accuphase integrateds were this easy to convert.

It sounds like they may have made it a more complex operation with non-convertible transformers and/or soldered connections. From Axiss:

"Accuphase builds different power supplies for Japan (100V), the U.S. (120V), and Europe (230V), each with custom transformers optimized for the respective voltage."

Well I had a long list of possible candidates for a do it yourself power conversion due to the fact that you can get schematics with colors:

E-308, E-307, E-305, E212, E-213, E450,

for E-370 there is a post showing how to move jumpers.

Older equipment will need some capacitors replaced at some stage, so I started looking for something newer and found the E-280

for the E-280 I relied on the Japanese seller on doing the conversion ( no schematics available at the moment ) and the other photos on this post to confirm that in fact it was converted.

It worked as intended and yes some models have a smaller stand by transformer that need to be addressed too . That is why I gave models with schematics a lot of priority. The E-280 being the entry model is small and simple enough not o have the extra transformer.

MacIntosh does something similar too, but some models come with a voltage specific transformer, with no option to rewire the taps.

I hope this info helps Accuphase enthusiasts that are looking for a second hand unit to be adapted to a different area.

Did anyone already attempt an E-3000? I’m wondering if the voltage selection still looks similar as on the other 2xx models. Anyone got a photo of the interior? Can’t seem to find anything online. Thank you in advance guys
