DAC Recommendations for My Truck

I drive a 2015 F150 King Ranch with Sync 2.  I want to stream Amazon Music HD Unlimited Hi Res from my iPhone into my media hub which is a 3.5mm.  I have ordered the Lightning Camera adapter that allows hi res digital out of the phone and into a DAC via USB A (camera adapter).  Any suggestions for a Dongle DAC?  I want to stay in the $100 range for the first purchase so i can determine if it is worth investing more in the DAC.

Already pulled the trigger.  Besides, the quality of the system in my truck is more of a limiting factor than the DAC.  I just wanted to be able to feed it something better than the MP3 level music from iPhone, Satellite Radio, or radio.

Got all the cables and DAC and hooked it up yesterday.  Functions perfectly with Amazon Music HD.  The dragonfly changes color as data stream increase and detects the Hi_Rez stream.  The sound and details are much clearer than satellite, radio, and CD.  The CD quality is probably limited by the quality of the factory unit.  I live out in the country so I experienced a few drop outs (T-Mobile).  Driving in to the big city later today so will get to see how well it functions and how responsive the new Alexa features function for music searches while driving.

@maam522a , Thank you for taking the time to post your findings. So often people get some direction and we never hear the result. My truck was at the dealership this past week , I’ll start playing with it next week. Did you try any cables that are above the cheap OEM free stuff ? Regards , Mike B.

Cables are problematic since you have to start with the iPhone lightning to Camera adapter that only comes in one flavor - Apple Vanilla.  Your only option is if you buy the one with a charger port or not on the Camera Adapter.  The Dragonfly USB A plugs into it directly and the Analog Output from the Dragonfly is a 3.5mm on both ends - For my truck.  I believe you can also get a 3.5 to USB if USB is the only available input to your system.  The Sync 2 has both but I think the Sync 3 only has USB.

Since it is a factory system, I used a slightly better 3.5mm than the $7 one but I am not going to spend more that 50 bucks on a 6 inch cable into a mediocre sound system.
