amp I bought 3 days ago not powering on - electrical engineer advice wanted

I bought a used Musical Fidelity A380 in good condition. Played it every day, worked fine.

Today it did not turn on. There were no sign of failure yesterday. Could it be a fuse or power supply?

thanks @willywonka I will gladly look it up. But I am probably not skilled enough to take expert advice. It probably takes years to become good at it.

@parkergetdean Many people are on there with little or no skills. Some just want basic repair advice and want to know if something is even worth repairing. Also sometimes the fixes for things are very basic and simple and they give advice. Many people also ask for places to repair equipment.

Since when has AOC become hot? She gets talked about all the time on that nuts news channel, but there is no path for any female prez going forward. That ship done sank; twice!

Crazy, at no point did any of my searches reveal a battery in the A308. Even AI is unsure if there is a battery soldered into the circuit - as if some A308's did and some did not. I immediately searched for my own gear to ensure none of what I have include a battery in the mix. Just can't absorb enough information, or am surprised at how much information is elusive.

+1 willywonka on the Facebook groups. I dislike FB but use my wife's logon to get tube information as the FB groups provide a bevy of photos that really help understanding designs. There is discussion (and photos of a corroded battery) on the battery aspect of the A308 which would have provide insight into your problem. Not that it would have been something you would want to do yourself, but apparently many do.
