I run a brand new 55 wpc NP1 with an Aric Audio Mothetlode II tube preamp with excellent results.
Has Anyone Compared Recent Models of Van Alstine SS and Tube Preamps ?
Overall I really like the SET 400 and T-10 RB tube preamp, but I'm wondering if I'm missing a bit of sparkle in the highs. Has anyone compared their SS and Tube preamps ?
Would swapping tubes or cables help without sacrificing bass and mid response ?
