Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

A couple of mono records tonight:

Dakota Staton - Crazy He Calls Me on Capitol T1170

Ravi Shankar - on World Pacific WP1421

After hearing that Jellyfishes second album Spilt Milk has just been reissued in a 3-sided/2-LP set (Norman Maslov review on YouTube), I had to play both their albums in the original pressings I got at the time of their initial release. Amazing!

Jellyfish toured in support of the Spilt Milk album, playing The Palace Theater on Vine Street in Hollywood. Earlier in the day they appeared on a riser in the middle of the Tower Records on Sunset Blvd., doing a vocal-heavy performance. I’m not sure which show was the most stunning!

Gary Morris-Stones Side 1

Barry Manilow-Tryin' To Get The Feeling Side 2

Cat Stevens-Teaser And The Firecat Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Ted Nugent-Cat Scratch Fever(Barcode) Side 2

LA 4-Executive Suite(CJ-215) Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Fleetwood Mac-Mirage Side 2 SQ*

Jackie & Roy-Time & Love(CTI 6019) Side 1 SQ*

Wings-Greatest Side 1

Played last night. LA 4 and Jackie & Roy were newly added, LA 4 easily takes the SQ crown tonight. Another great recording from 1989 "Stones" one of the best alternative/progresssive country albums of that year. Always liked "Mirage" for its calm and updated style.

“Sepia Marbled Vinyl”…I’m not a fan, I can’t see the track breaks. The music’s fantastic though.
