recommends for interconnects?

Looking to replace old (and tired) MIT shotgun XLR interconnects between Mac 402 amp and Levinson pre and CD player.

there are so many cables and reviews and opinions out there. Looking for similar or slight improvement in sound, but under a few hundred dollars. Is that even possible?   1 meter with XLR terminating both ends.....

Ideas and thoughts much appreciated.

"Retail is around 1500 but if you look around rarely you can find a pair in the $800-$900 range on the used market."

When the OP specifically states that he is looking for XLR cable recommendations "under a few hundred dollars", how is this useful information?

In my opinion cables do make objective difference. I have tried many over the past 30 years listening to good and great music. I have a pair of Magnapan 1.7ix. I was told about AntiCables years ago. I am now using the 7.3 level (Dual Conductors-silver/gold). But i use the RCA interconnects. They have the same in the 5.3 level XLR. To me they are a good match with the Magnapan and not that expensive.  Best of luck.

I forgot to let you know that i now use tube equipment. But i used AntiCables in my SS equipment and still felt they sounded great.

Dave, you might want to look into these pure silver interconnect cable which are reasonably priced and offer exceptional performance:
Stager Silver Solids.

Are you looking for a fuller/warmer sound with inky blackness around instruments, or more like the definition and control you get with the MIT?
