Hi, Marcin here – creator of JPLAY.
First of all, thank you for the kind words about the app. JPLAY is still relatively new and we're actively and intensively developing it. I've gone through your posts in this thread and taken notes on the feedback and feature requests you'd like to see – really appreciate you taking the time to share that.
Regarding the playback stops – I wanted to clarify that these are not glitches in the app. JPLAY acts as a remote control – it sends a command and the track URL to your streamer (UPnP renderer), and from that point it's the streamer itself that fetches and plays the audio. JPLAY does not touch the audio data at any point.
When a stream stops mid-track, it means the renderer (your streamer) momentarily lost its ability to pull the data from the network. This is typically caused by network configuration issues – things like Wi-Fi instability, or having multiple control apps running at the same time.
A few things worth trying: make sure your streamer is on a wired 1Gbit Ethernet connection, close any other control apps running in the background (including Roon), and check your router configuration (e.g. DNS settings). Rebooting router, modem and access point is sometimes worth doing.

Best regards,
Marcin
