Speaker Help Please: Floorstanders around $1Ok to fill very large space with no sub

Hi Gang, haven’t posted in here in years...
A great friend of mine is going through major remodel and looking for 2 large floor standing speakers to fill a great room 38’ long x 20’ wide with a celling that slopes in one direction from 15’-8’. so about 7200 cubic feet.
He is very serious about music. Used to book bands. He listens to a lot of New Orleans groove-based music and Americana. His wife loves female singers, like Brandi Carlisle.
My main advise to him is, since he/his wife don’t want a sub, they will need speakers with sufficient low end.
Haven’t thought too much about amp yet.

He will also use the system for 2 channel home theater watching.
Thanks for any suggestions

Martin Logan Is the way to go, But I also like Dynaudio a lot, for a more conventional, JBL or B&W makes some really incredible large speakers. McIntosh XRT system is also incredible.

This is a no brainer.  The Tekton Ulfberht 15s is vastly better for this application than any of the other speakers mentioned and frankly than any other speaker at this price point.  Ignore all the incredibly ignorant haters on here and simply buy them.  I owned Tekton Moabs which I loved.  Heard the standard Ulfberhts many times at a friends. And I have extensive experience with a range of high end systems.  Personally, I have gone down the path of panel speakers but I still miss the Moabs and will probably pick up a pair of the Ulfberht 15s at some point if only to use them with low powered SET tube amps which they love.  Can't do that with the 80-89 dB efficient speakers I use now LOL.

If you don't like looking at all the drivers buy the grills and choose a custom paint color to match the decor of the room.

I would also recommend martin logan, something like the esl 11 or 13 with active sub already built in
