ETHERNET TO FIBEROPTIC

Looking to covert my Innuos Zenith Next Gen to fiberoptic input instead of the current eithernet hook-up. Can some one recommend a company which sells the devices needed to make this conversion. Any advice is appreciated.

+1 for Small Green Computer.  Also a happy long term customer.  I would not heistate to reach out to Andrrew Gillis, owner, andrew@smallgreencomputer.com

He is very willing to share his experiences and make suggestions and recommendations.

Or try an Ethernet isolator or regenerator like:

I have tried both optical and one of these other good results.

as commented earlier, I would not try to mod the Innuos. Just use a short, high quality Ethernet cable for the last run.

a very easy and cost effective solution is the gigafoil v4... it will need a decent lps (5v) to drive it though...

Here's my two cents for whatever it's worth.  I did the conversion last month.  I bought two TP-Link MC220Ls, two TP-Link Gigabit SPF modules, a 3.3-foot Cable Matters Plenum Rated Duplex OS2 Single Mode Fiber Optic Patch Cable, a 1-foot Ethernet cable to go into my streamer from the box receiving the cleaned up signal, and an iFi SilentPower iPower2 DC power supply for the MC220L going out to my streamer.  It was a monumental improvement as soon as I implemented it. I have assembled my system over the last year and the debate in my head is which step lowered the noise floor more: the standalone DAC, the power conditioner or the fiber optic conversion.  I will undoubtedly say the fiber optic conversion was clearly the most bang for the buck.
