Comparisons of the Pass-Labs XP-22 with the CODA 07X ?

@audphile1  I do like the XP-22 for all the reasons you said, and I do believe the CODA #16 will add some speed and possibly some sparkle.  I believe I'll wait till I get the #16 and get it broken in before I make a decision to change preamps.  

@hk_fan  I believe the XP-32 would be a step up from my XP-22 however I really don't want to spend that much.  

@liquidsound that is a good plan. Coda makes excellent amplifiers. They’re articulate with great clarity but maintain natural sound. Slightly on a cooler side which your XP-22 will balance out perfectly. 
What digital or analog sources are you using?

@audphile1  I have no analog sources.  I have my Ethernet run through an Uptone Audio EtherREGEN device, which feeds an Innuos ZENith MK-III music server and Phoenix Re-clocker and use QoBuz as my music service. The Phoenix feeds USB to my Denafrips Terminator-Plus DAC.  

@liquidsound that’s a nice digital front end. Should sound great once your coda amp lands. 

I would recommend you check out the new PS Audio PMG signature preamp.  I think it will give you what you’re after.  It’s very fast and open, I was extremely impressed with it and I was able to compare it to the XP-22 directly in my own system.

I like both very much but the PS Audio has more of the top end sparkle I think you’re looking for.
