Burmester 232 vs mono blocks in the same price range ange

Bought a Burmester 232 5 months back. Broken in by now. Absolutely love the signature sound. Just wondering if mono blocks in the same price range ($25K - $30K) would sound much better or the same. The Burmester was a blind purchase since I had it in my car and loved the sound. What is special about a $30K integrated amplifier in terms of audio circuitry etc?

@kerrybh did you buy your 218s used? Think I will stick with my 232 since there's no real reason to "upgrade". Will look into rebar chairs for my bedroom system

No, i bought the 218 new from a dealer

i dont think the risers have any sonic impact, but i like the way they look. Some folks think they make a positive difference and if risers enhance their experience, good for them. Not for me to tell them what they hear.

@mramaswamy11 @kerrybh I have the signature 159 monos, they are next level good as they should be.   I have owned all the burmester amps, bought each one as stereo and months later would buy a 2nd and run them mono, as good as they are stereo once you run them bridged they are another animal, that's tru from the 956mk2 all the way to the 909mk5

@ckr1969 +1. Stellar amps you have in a beautiful system. I share your affinity for blues

I was just listening to Albert Collins

@ckr1969 Have you owned other brands? How would you say the 159s stack up against Goldmund or CH Precisions in the same price range?
