Meitner MA3i DAC Review

@mitch2 Interesting review. One thing I can say subjectively is that the DSD SACD playback on this unit was the best I have ever heard. This includes the Benchmark DAC3B and the RME DAC with the GeerFAB unit I listed above. Along with the great Sony SCD-1 modded to Vacuum, State Level 5+ SACD player.

I will be getting the following fibre to Ethernet convertor. I may have owned this long ago and it failed on me. Not sure if it was this one or another variant.

I just ordered the following 30M fibre cable that is compatible with the SFP that I have.

I sent an inquiry to Meitner asking about Ethernet cables, CAT5, 6, 7, 8.

Are you saying a longer Ethernet cable is better to keep the switch further out?
 

yes that is correct. Eliminate EMI emitted by the switch. 
 

as to Ethernet cables…I use Audience Hidden Treasure into Meitner and it’s a CAT7 cable.

@yyzsantabarbara - Good catch. I read the whole thing and missed that.

Here is another option to convert from fibre to Ethernet. I used to own v1 of this thing but traded it for something.
